”Maximal flexibility without changing frames.”

Retrofitting in control cabinets requires solutions that are flexible, service-friendly, and easy to adapt over time.

The KEL-ERM VARIO from Icotek is a further development of the proven KEL system – designed to provide maximum flexibility for cable entry.

One frame - several configurations

With the KEL-ERM VARIO, you can customize the cable entry as needed without changing the frame.

  • modular system with plugin dividers
  • Combine large and small pass-throughs in the same frame
  • A frame size covers multiple variants

It simplifies both construction and stock keeping.

For pre-connected cables

KEL-ERM VARIO offers:

  • up to IP65 / UL Type 12
  • Strain relief according to EN 62444
  • vibration-resistant construction
  • temperature resistance from -40 °C to +140 °C

Thanks to the cast-in sealing, the enclosure rating is maintained even with a flexible design.

Stainless steel enclosures – when standard is not enough - Featured
Stainless steel enclosures – when standard is not enough – Homepage

In many installations, painted sheet metal enclosures are more than sufficient. However, in certain industrial environments, significantly higher demands are placed on both materials and construction.

Moisture, cleaning, chemicals and aggressive environments can quickly affect the life of the enclosure. In these cases, stainless steel enclosures often the best choice.

ETA offers enclosure solutions developed for these environments.

ETA stainless steel enclosures

ETA has several stainless steel enclosure series that are developed for industrial installations where corrosion and hygiene are important factors.

They are often used in:

  • the food industry
  • process industry
  • marine and offshore
  • chemically exposed environments

Stainless steel provides an enclosure that can withstand both mechanical impact and demanding environmental conditions.

When is a metal cabinet not enough?

Standard enclosures in painted sheet metal are not always the right choice when:

  • the environment is humid
  • the installation is subjected to cleaning or flushing
  • chemicals are present
  • there is a risk of corrosion

In these situations, stainless steel enclosures are often a more reliable solution.

Material choices that affect lifespan

The material of the enclosure affects how long the installation lasts.

Stainless steel provides:

  • high corrosion resistance
  • good resistance to cleaning
  • robust construction
  • long lifespan

This makes the material suitable in environments where the enclosure is exposed to more than normal industrial stress.

”When the environment makes higher demands, the right materials are needed.”

Summary

When installation takes place in demanding environments, standard solutions are not always sufficient.

ETA stainless steel enclosures offers robust protection for electronics and control systems in environments where corrosion, moisture and cleaning are part of everyday life.
