When is a Conduit the right choice?

Conduits is the right choice when cables need to be protected against external influences in installations where cables move or are exposed.

  • Cables are subjected to movement or vibration
  • Risk of abrasion against machine parts or edges
  • Cable routing is done outside the enclosure
  • Industrial environments with mechanical impact

Conduits is often used both in equipment cabinets and between the cabinet and the machine.

When might other solutions be more appropriate?

Conduits is not always the right solution for all cable management.

  • Cables should be organized firmly inside the cabinet. → cable ducts
  • The cable needs to be sealed against the enclosure → cable gland or cable entries
  • Cables are fully protected and stationary → no additional cable protection needed
