Product description
Split EMC cable gland / KVT-DS is based on the icotek product KVT and is metallized to enable good current conduction.
The front cable grommet (KT) is used for strain relief and cable sealing on the cable jacket. The cable shield is contacted over 360° via the rear conductive grommet (EMC-KT).
A conductive flat gasket, which is included in the delivery, connects the cable gland to the conductive housing wall. This can be an advantage when the housing wall is not painted and therefore conductive.
The contact to the metal wall is established via the special EMC lock nut. This can be an advantage when the metal wall to which the EMC-KVT-DS is to be attached is not painted and therefore conductive.
Advantages of Split EMC cable gland / KVT-DS
- Both conducted and field-bound disturbances can be reliably diverted
- Scratch-resistant surface
- Contacting the cable shield over 360°
- EMC grommets made entirely from conductive elastomer
- Very good dissipation values
- Very good shielding effect with regard to EMC tightness
